Episode 47: Rebooting Recovery with Robbie Jenkins

Rebooting Recovery with Robbie Jenkins
Incorporating regular exercise as part of a daily routine is one of the first steps to living an extraordinary life. And as you add these workouts into your lifestyle the inevitable soreness and fatigue are sure to set in. The more I learn about the importance of exercise, the more I have grown to appreciate the importance of recovery as well. From improved sleep patterns to massage rollers, allowing the body to recover is just as important as the exercise itself. This repairing process allows you to not just rest, but rebuild, stronger than before. And the quicker we recover the quicker we rebuild.
That is where Robby Jenkins comes in. Partnering with David Johnson and his wife Bailey, Rapid Reboot was born in 2016. This pneumatic compression system draws lactic acid from muscles helping athletes recover from intense workouts. Similar to the compression boots found in hospitals used to avoid blood clots in patients. This Professional Recovery System takes that concept to a whole new level. Now with attachments for arms and hips, Rapid Reboot allows athletes to train longer and at a higher intensity but most importantly it helps them recover. Better and faster.
The competitive edge athletes gain from this system is enough to make it a remarkable product. But as an end-user I can tell you for me personally that’s not even the best part. For me, the time spent in the boots is one of the best parts of my day. It’s not just recovery, its relaxation. I look forward to that time to unwind, read, or even take a quick little nap. Most active recovery systems require effort or an extra set of hands to be effective. With Rapid Reboot, all the active recovery work is done for you while you still get to remain inactive. Just like a massage.
In part 1 of our conversation, Robbie and I discuss all this and how the company is rebooting the recovery space as a whole. Learn how they bootstrapped the business from day one, taking big risks and changing the recovery market in the process. The second half of the interview has some exciting news that we will release along with the company’s big announcement coming soon. So stay tuned up and tuned in to my conversation with Robby Jenkins.
